You are currently looking at an info page about Bill's Blog.
This blog is hosted on a Fedora Linux system on a comptuer with a quad-core processor and 8gig of memory. It's a 64bit system, and is relatively fast, but not the fastest available. You will need a 'static' IP address (TCP/IP) and then pick out a name for your blog which you woudl then register with an internet domain name registration service.
For more information on creating your own blog and hosting it yourself, look at these product links.
- Fedora Core Project (Operating System that hosts the blog)
- mySQL Database (What stores the blog's contents)
- b2Evolution (The Blog 'engine')
- Static IP Address (What you need to assign a domain name)
- Domain name Registrar (Who associates your IP address with your domain name)
If you need more information, or want to get a custom designed blog server, please contact the blog author and I'll be glad to help you out.
